We’re one of the most experienced providers of clinical homecare in the UK and we are currently recruiting a Screening Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team based in Derby.

We are looking for an experienced pharmacist who would like the opportunity to develop in clinical homecare. This is a varied role where you will gain exposure to prescription screening and act as a responsible pharmacist for our quality assurance (QA) team on site. You will have the opportunity to handle queries from patients and hospitals and use your technical and product knowledge to solve problems.

You will be required to work 40 hours, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend cover and on-call duties when required. The working pattern for this role is 07:00am – 15:30pm/ 13:30pm - 22:00pm (alternating weekly).

To provide effective pharmacy support to Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare’s central and regional business units to enable dispensing of medicinal products and other items. To act as Responsible Pharmacist for the Derby compounding unit and conduct pharmacist screening of incoming prescriptions in conjunction with Harlow Scimitar Park based screening pharmacist team.

About you

We’re looking for a GPhC-registered pharmacist, ideally with experience working in a hospital or home healthcare environment. Much of the role involves checking for accuracy, so strong attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to stay focused over long periods of time. Other qualities you’ll need include excellent communication skills, a systematic approach and a commitment to continuous professional development.
