About the department
The role reports to the Head of Central Data within our Finance & Governance function of over two hundred colleagues. The data team are on a journey to master data management operational excellence and supporting delivery of strategic projects impacting all business units and functions across McKesson UK.
About the opportunity
This newly created role will lead the introduction of Data Governance across the McKesson UK businesses in support of the emerging Data Strategy and the requirements of external regulatory bodies in the area of Data Integrity.
You will engage with a whole range of stakeholders including the SAP implementation team, Enterprise management team, the responsible person for wholesale, Enterprise Architects and IT plus the Superintendent’s office.
Your key responsibilities will be Data Governance and data integrity. In a highly regulated environment this will be per the MHRA expectations and the GxP regulations.
As this is a newly created role this is a great opportunity for an ambitious and focused individual to really drive and implement the data strategy in a highly visible role.
It is essential you have recent and solid experience of implementing a Data Governance capability across a complex organization and experience of implementing Data Quality/Data Integrity capabilities. You will be a Pro-active self-starter with strong stakeholder management.
If you also have SAP knowledge and/or pharmaceutical experience this would be a distinct advantage as would SAP Data Services / ADM knowledge
