About the opportunity
Now is an exciting time to join our AAH business, as McKesson UK embarks on multiple transformational change projects to help shape our end-to-end supply chain offering into a market leading proposition.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the warehouse and all employees within those functions, whilst ensuring service/performance levels are achieved within defined financial and operational objectives.
As a key member of the Branch Management team, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to and on occasion lead Branch and Network initiatives. He/she will work alongside the Branch Management team to ensure that you are maximising efficiencies, controlling costs and achieving Branch Plans.
A key element of this role will be focussed on continuous improvements within the Warehouse and Branch, whilst ensuring compliance in line with MHRA regulations and Good Distribution Practice (GDP). He/she will be expected to deputise in the absence of the Regional General Manager and provide management of the operation and achievement of branch objectives via effective performance management processes.
The ideal candidate will have previously managed or led a team within a Branch / Warehouse environment. To succeed in this role, he/she will understand the importance of the key KPIs in delivering results and be an ambassador for sharing of best practice both within branch and throughout the network.
We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and confident dealing with people issues. It is important that the Operations Manager is able to demonstrate experience of being involved in change management projects, promoting positive employee relations and demonstrating where they have added value through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
