About the opportunity

McKesson UK, a pioneering provider of integrated healthcare services, has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Depot Manager to join our growing AAH Operations at our branch in Paignton, Devon - (TQ3 2HU)

Now is an exciting time to join AAH Pharmaceuticals, as McKesson UK embarks on multiple transformational change projects to help shape our end-to-end supply chain offering into a market leading proposition.

Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager the Depot Manager will have overall responsibility for leading a team in providing a high-quality service to Retail Pharmacy, Hospitals, and Dispensing Doctor customers in the branch’s area of operations.

He/she will act as the key member of a regional team where you will be accountable for implementing branch plans, operational structures and branch procedures as determined by the Head of Operations.

The successful candidate will ensure that the AAH Paignton branch meets performance standards set in the key result areas of the business and will also be responsible for ensuring branch compliance in line with MHRA regulations and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)

This opportunity requires a high level of motivational and communication skills, as well as a sound knowledge of the commercial and operational requirements of an industry where customer satisfaction depends largely on rapid response and quality of service.

About you

The ideal applicant will have proven experience of successfully managing several diversified business functions in an FMCG/Retail environment, preferably in the supply chain & distributive industry. He/she will possess strong man-management and leadership skills, capable of achieving business goals through motivation, teamwork, continuous improvement programmes and performance reviews.

Strong organisational, finance and budgetary skills along with familiarity of PC packages – particularly Word and Excel programs is to be expected.

We’re looking for people with experience in a similar environment, including time spent leading teams, managing budgets, and helping to drive change. Organisation and communication skills are very important. You also need to be able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and find ways to get the most out of every person in your team.
