About the opportunity

You will be joining a large HR team who support and payroll 24,000 colleagues across the UK. In this newly created role as HR Governance & Compliance Manager you will deliver exceptional HR Governance across the UK business, by leading the delivery of the HR strategic objectives and functional budgets as part of a cohesive and aligned HR Portfolio. You will be responsible for defining the Governance and Portfolio framework, recommending and delivering the Group HR Management Information strategy and leading the management of HR Projects. Acting as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders such as Finance, Internal Audit etc.

About you 

It is essential you have Knowledge and experience of Portfolio management in a complex diverse environment and developing and challenging budgets and 3-year strategic plans up to Executive level.

You will possess Expert knowledge of HR MI and Metrics coupled with extensive working knowledge of MI software solutions and demonstrate strategic insight and commercial awareness acting as a sounding board on strategy to UK HRD and wider HRLT.

Have clear and detailed knowledge of HR processes and Group/UK audit controls inc S-Ox.and extensive experience of supplier and 3rd party relationship management.

You will be confident delivering large complex projects through deep knowledge of programme & project management techniques and have outstanding data analysis, communication and presentation skills in order to provide meaningful insight to inform policy decisions.

Relevant Qualifications such as, P30 portfolio management, MOR and generic business and commercial qualification such as MBA would be ideal.

You will be a confident and engaging communicator able to influence at senior and operational levels. As the role will manage a small team you will also possess excellent leadership abilities.
