Celesio UK, a pioneering provider of integrated healthcare services, have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Transport Manager to join our innovative and forward thinking logistics team within our AAH Belfast Branch.
As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for taking ownership and accountability for the transport and dispatch function within the AAH Belfast branch, ensuring performance levels are achieved within defined financial and operational directives.
The successful applicant will be accountable for providing effective and professional leadership to the transport and dispatch teams, facilitating a collaborative and inspirational teamwork approach. He/she will effectively manage and motivate both teams in all management activities, as well as controlling costs and driving efficiencies within the department. A key element of this role will be to ensure that the team is compliant with all relevant regulations regarding Fleet, Safety and Internal Compliance.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience working as a key member of a Senior Management team. He/she will have effectively managed and developed a team within a similar branch environment, with experience of a fleet size in excess of 40+ large vehicles.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have proven experience in strategic & tactical planning, designing and implementing a Transport Branch development plan to address future requirements.
We will require you to have an International Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), and ideally you will have or been working towards a Certificate of Management Studies or equivalent. Prior exposure to route scheduling software is also highly desirable for this position.
This role is perfect for a seasoned Transport professional that can challenge the way we operate, and looking for a new opportunity where he/she can take real ownership of our transport operation. Strong leadership qualities coupled with exposure to transformational change projects is to be expected.
